Avenue Victor Hugo began selling books by mail order in 1972. From 1973 to 1975 we also sold books from a pushcart on the streets of Boston. From 1975 until 2004 we operated a full service new and used bookshop on Newbury Street. We have offered a wide selection of books online since 1996. Now, once again after 38 years, our books are available only via mail order and may be browsed on-line at avenuevictorhugobooks.com. Though we specialize in fiction and history, we have continued to maintain a general stock in most subjects from art through science.
