Uploading from Prager, Software
Prager, Software
provides an upload capability directly to our
site. To configure Prager for uploads to
the Scribblemonger Book Exchange, follow these
steps:
- Configure Scribblemonger as a
valid upload site by selecting the 'User IDs
and Passwords' tab.
Enter <your scribblemonger.com
username>@bisibat.com (without the brackets)
and the password you use for scribblemonger.com
- Create an export file on the
'Export' tab.
- Select the Upload tab (if not
placed on this tab directly from Export).
Make sure that the Scribblemonger checkbox is
checked
- Click the Upload button
- From the Open dialog box, choose
the file to upload and click Open.
The file will be sent to our site in the
correct format

Uploading from HomeBase
2.3 as HomeBase file
- From the HomeBase main screen,
choose upload to ABE.
- Choose a location to save the
file.
You don't have to use the preloaded filename,
but be sure to note somewhere the location and
filename you use.
- Click Save and finish.
- Return to your account page at the
Scribblemonger Book Exchange.
- Scroll down to the Bookseller
Inventory Upload area and select HomeBase
(ABE).
- Click Choose File and navigate to
the file named in step 2 above.
- Click Upload.
A completion page will display and your
inventory will be automatically uploaded.
Uploading from HomeBase 3 as
HomeBase or UIEE Compliant File
- From the HomeBase main screen,
choose Export from the File menu.
The Export Wizard appears.
- Make sure Listings is selected and
click Next.
- Choose either All or Changes
since; then click Next.
(For the initial upload, be sure to select
All.)
The Select Export Format page appears.
- Choose UIEE and click Next.
- Choose a location to save the
export file.
You don't have to use the preloaded filename,
but be sure to note somewhere the location and
filename you use.
- Click Save and finish.
- Return to your account page at the
Scribblemonger Book Exchange.
- Scroll down to the Bookseller
Inventory Upload area and select UIEE.
- Click Choose File and navigate to
the file named in step 5 above.
- Click Upload.
A completion page will display and your
inventory will be automatically uploaded.
Uploading from BookHound 7ce
- From BookHound main screen, click
'uploads'.
- Click 'create file_a_n.txt'.
(n could be any number).
A box appears confirming that your file was
created in your 'my_uploads' folder. This
file is likely in your Users folder under
Documents>Bibliopolis>BookHound 7ce>BookHound>my_uploads.
- Return to your account page at the
Scribblemonger Book Exchange.
- Scroll down to the Bookseller
Inventory Upload area and select BookHound 7ce.
- Click Choose File and navigate to
the file named in step 2 above.
- Click Upload.
A completion page will display and your
inventory will be automatically uploaded.
Uploading
from any Inventory Package that Supports UIEE
(Universal Information Exchange Environment)
- Follow the instructions for your
book inventory package to export your book
inventory as UIEE.
Be sure to note somewhere the
location and filename you use.
- Return to your account page at the
Scribblemonger Book Exchange.
- Scroll down to the Bookseller
Inventory Upload area and select UIEE.
- Click Choose File and navigate to
the appropriate file.
- Click Upload.
A completion page will display and your
inventory will be automatically uploaded.
Each record is made up of 17 tab-delimited
fields structured in the order shown below.. The
entire first record (line) is ignored; you can use it as a
header line or leave it blank.

Uploading from
Art of Book
Art of Book provides an
upload capability directly to scribblemonger.com,
using the Custom Venue configuration. To
get to this configuration, select the Settings
tab in the top menu bar. From the Settings
selections displayed, choose Venue Settings.
Scroll down to the Custom Venue settings area,
and enter the following values into an available
custom venue (Custom Venue 1 shown in example
below):

Uploading
from FillZ
FillZ provides an
upload capability directly to scribblemonger.com,
using the Custom Marketplace configuration.
To configure Scribblemonger as a custom
marketplace:
1. Log in to your FillZ
account and click Settings->Marketplaces->Custom
Configuration for "n" (choose from Custom
1-6)
2. Enter information in all applicable fields as
shown below:

If you want FillZ to retrieve order
information from us, you must
configure Scribblemonger to write the orders to your FTP
account.
Uploading Images
Images can be uploaded individually, or
zipped into a .zip file. Image formats
supported are: .jpg, .gif, and .bmp.
Image file names must be the Record Number (i.e.
inventory number, SKU, &c) of the listed book
the image is for. For example, a .jpg
image for a book with a record number of
'BK0042' must have a filename of BK0042.jpg.
The images can be uploaded from within the
Inventory Management section on the 'my account'
page. They can also be directly uploaded using an
ftp client program. Files should be placed
in the root area of your account.
Configuring
Order "Pulling/Retrieval"
Order
Pulling/Retrieval support is provided for Art of
Book and FillZ. To enable this support
follow these steps:
1. Login to
Scribblemonger and go to the 'my account' page
2. Scroll down
the the Inventory Management section
3. In the Order
Pulling/Retrieval area, select the service that
you use
4. Click Submit
